I recently received 10$ into my paypal account from south africa’s ptc company Paidforemails.co.za.

My first thoughts were to look at a way in which I can invest. First I had a look at HYIP ( High Yield Investment Programs) , but none of them whould except paypal payments. Tried to find a way to transfer money from my paypal account to my alert pay account, but the only way this is possible is by person to person exchanges.

I have read a few times about domain name flipping,  but never tried it up until now, so I thought I would have a look into it. I did a bit of research, came up with a great name, went to www.namecheap.com and registered it for 9$. SOLD it for 299$ within two weeks.

I made 3000% return on my investment within 2 weeks and have re-invested $100 into new domain names.

Here is a quick direction guide to domain name flipping.

Domain Flipping Vocabulary:
Flipping – Buying a domain name with the intention of selling it for a profit.
Appraisal – The evaluation of the market value of your domain name
Domain Registration – The process of aquiring a new domain name
Domain Parking – It is when advertisements  are displayed on your domain by an hosting company offering domain parking and you will earn a percentage of the ads revenue. Not the best option for a newly registered domain, rather do a quick wordpress installation with a for sale sign.

Registering a Domain:

Godaddy and NameCheap are the two most popular services. I decided to go with namecheap and have had no problems with their service.

Parking a Domain :

A person can park their domain for free while trying to find a buyer and earn some ad revenue in the meantime.

Flipping A Domain:

- Visit all the domain name forums and post your domain name for sale there if you are looking for a quick sale
- Visit all the forums related to the domain you are trying to flip and post your ad there,  eg. If it is a broadband name then visit all the broadband forums. You will get a better price if you sell to your TARGET MARKET directly and not to another domainer.
- You can also look up all the free domain name listing sites and list your domain name for sale there

Receiving Payments and Concluding Transactions:
Paypal.com and Escrow.com are the two most preferred services. Escrow.com charges a minimum transaction fee of $25, but it is more secure from the buyers point of view. If you can get paid via paypal, definitely go for it.

Once the money start rolling in and you want to bring your money into SA you will need a check account from FNB ( https://www.fnb.co.za/online-banking/pay-pal.html)
